Standard Bike company was my first bike sponsor, and I made this catalog for them while I was working on the final issue of Tread Magazine. It’s curious to consider our cultural concept of success. (What an alliteration!) I never made money as a bike rider, but I got free bikes, traveled, and was able to earn a living within the industry doing other things. I’ve always felt myself an outsider to some degree, and I gravitated towards smaller more obscure companies that I felt were more authentic and aligned with my values.

If I were to make this now it would be a bit slicker, but I think the ideas are pretty solid.
